The pup needs to rest, and its mother is probably nearby fishing. The last thing either of them need is people encroaching on the vulnerable pup, or scaring off the mother. Dogs should be leashed and led away pronto. Lindsey has too often seen partying boaters endangering young pups. has some disturbing humanoid behavior to report.
